Repairs

I don't know if it's like this for anyone else, but our household breakdowns always seem to happen in twos or threes (and usually when Dave is out of town). SO, this week it's the fridge, the dishwasher, and the lawn mower. I don't mind washing dishes (I know some of you do it all the time), but a very leaky fridge hasn't been fun. (notice the towels on the floor.) The repair man for the fridge just left after collecting a nice $248. Thankfully, the dishwasher is under warranty, and will hopefully be fixed Friday, and the lawnmower - well I'm thinking we shouldn't ever put it away for the winter, since it never wants to work the following spring! Our wonderful neighbors let us borrow theirs, but we'll have to get on the ball and get ours fixed soon.

I would love to have a dishwasher, so I know how that is. It's lousy when stuff breaks just when you need it, good luck:)

We don't have a dishwasher, so I suppose it is just one less thing to break. But WHAT A BUMMER that your stuff went crazy on ya! Hopefully it's back to normal now--and you can get your lawn mower up and going!

What a bummer. I guess that's one benefit to renting...we don't have to pay for broken stuff. Although it does seem like bad stuff often happens in twos or threes. I hope you get everything up and running again soon.

Hope things are looking up soon...REAL soon! It was wonderful to meet with you on Tuesday for Red Iguana:) Thanks again for dinner! I have been working on Emily's quilt top and have some things forming in my mind. I hope it is OK to use some other fabrics as well. talkto ya soon:)

what a mess! I feel like we're behind the game because we don't even HAVE a mower...and the grass is quickly reaching steller heights! Sorry about the other two...I know that's no fun at all!

And here Mark was complaining because his thatching blade on the mower isn't the one he wanted. :-) We are lucky, our dishwasher was leaking and warping the wood next to it, and the base had to send someone to fix it. Turns out (after three tries and all new seals) that it was over about 1/8 inch too far and the door wasn't closing all the way. Seriously, that's all! One of the great things about airforce. Dishwasher included!

I don't know if you saw on our posts a few weeks back, but our oven handle and fridge handle both fell off, and we had to make due without for quite some time! The manager recently came and finally got them fixed. One nice thing about having things break is that when they are fixed you appreciate them so much more!
