Spring Flowers

I've had so much going on lately that I'm behind on my blogging! I'll try to catch up a little bit:

A couple weeks ago I thought I'd try my hand at planting a few flowers in some pots that I bring out each year. Well, I felt like I was in Kindergarten! Here's the mess I was making - you can't see very clearly, but there's dirt Everywhere!

I was getting frustrated, and then it occurred to me that Caitlin has ALWAYS helped me plant flowers in my pots. No wonder I was having such a hard time! She has a real talent for this, and I sure miss her! After making a big mess, planting flowers in the wrong pot & having to start over twice, & knocking a pot over on top of the plants in it, I finally finished:

I'm pleased with how they turned out, and now two weeks later the plants are doing great!

Beautiful flowers! I've had my two pots of flowers since Mother's Day, and they're all still alive - hooray for surviving plants! They look great.

My pots didn't have blooms yet so I stuck silk flowers in them! I had to do something with all those left over gerber daisys from Sarah's wedding. I'll take a picture and post. They look pretty good. I wish I had blooms like you do though. Hey- congrats for trying something new!

Good job on your pots! I need to find my motivation somewhere to get out do the weeding in my garden so that my flowers can be seen, and then to pot the petunias that have been waiting on the front porch for about 2 weeks now...

I am glad your flowers are doing great, despite Caitlin being there. I always miss people when I realize I am doing what I usually do with them. I guess you appreciate them more.
