First Day of School!

It's hard to believe, but summer is basically over for us. Each year they start school a little earlier. Today was Emily's first day of 1st grade, at our charter school here in Springville. She was SO excited! Emily loves most everything about school, including being with the other children, having lunch at school, and of course, math (her favorite subject). I have to admit that I've had just a little bit of sadness, realizing that my little girl is growing up and will be gone all day now. In fact, yesterday I realized that basically 1/3 of her life with us here at home is gone! But part of me is pretty excited about having almost 7 hours of productive time every day. Now I just need the motivation to do all the catch-up and projects for the home and office that I've been planning to get done!

Mom: So Emily, how was school today? Emily: GREAT!

I think this little girl likes school. :)

Someone else was happy she was home too!

Here's to a great year, Emily!

So exciting! I can't believe that in only a few years it'll be Zaylee going off to school. That's a little scary!

School started already??? Most schools around here aren't starting untill the 21st and even a few aren't starting till the 25th.
Thats great that she enjoys school so much. She looks adorable in her uniform.

I caught up on all of your postings. Emily is indeed darling in her uniform and it is so nice that she likes school. I want to see the Pioneer Village sometime. That sounds neat. I'm always glad when my kids can have fun together.

Oren is counting down the days (3 now...) until school starts. I keep forgetting to go see who his teacher is. I should probably check the list at the school, huh... Glad she had a great first day, and enjoy all that "productive" time!

You keep commenting on my scrapbooking...I'm still very willing to put one together for you. Even if it's just a few pages that you really want and all done digitally. (That way you can just send me photos and I can send the finished pages back to you to print yourself.) Email me if you feel up to sending me a few photos...trial or to actually do. I'd still love to do it for you!
