Today was such a beautiful day! Emily had a friend over, and the wind was blowing a little, so we took the kites Nicia had bought for us, and headed out to the park for some fun. I love watching children when they are experiencing joy, totally in the moment. A simple joy for this Mom too.

Looks like fun...I envy the space you have right outside your gate...an extension of your back yard. Hmm, would be nice to have the space and not have to take care of it.
How fun. It really is the simplest things that kids seem to remember the most. The picture is beautiful too with the mountains and all the green grass.
It makes me want to fly kites again, myself! Gorgeous mountains you have right outside your door there!! I'm glad Emily got to enjoy the wind!
I haven't been kite-flying in ages! It looks wonderful!
